How To Becoming A Better Player And A Good Person

It’s been three years since I started the PGA TOUR. One of my main goals for each season is to qualify for the TOUR championship – which is limited to the top 30 players on the FedExCup board – and I’m glad I do that in every three years of the TOUR. At the start of the new season, I hope to be the first Korean to play in the event for four years in a row.

It would be nice if there were more TOUR records. I was the first Korean to be awarded Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year at Korn Ferry in 2018 and surpassed the Korean performance at the Master’s Championships last Sunday after finishing second.

Also, I have competed in more competitions than any other player in 2020, and in the recent 2020-21 season I recorded 498 shots, the largest number of players in the TOUR at any one time. I don’t think any players think of records when they play, but it’s a bonus to me that showing hard work pays off. I am proud to be able to hold this record and it really inspired me to be a better golfer.

I also want to be a Korean who has played a lot of tournaments in the PGA TOUR, meaning I have to stay in the TOUR for a long time. It was also my goal to break the record held by KJ Choi with eight PGA TOUR titles.

Looking back over the past year, I struggle like everyone else. We’ve had a great Season with six major tournaments and it’s great to be in second place in the Masters – but my main goal is still to be a Masters champion.

A lot of people started to know about me after the show and I got incredible fans from all over the world. When I get more attention, I develop a desire to play better, and that weighs heavily on me. I want to finish 15 of them every week and try to stay energized. While last season went well, there were tournaments where I could play well in the first two halves and things wouldn’t go well in the third round.

Luckily, I have my game and I feel left behind over time and I think I can do better this new season. I am satisfied with my job now and hope I can achieve more goals step by step. I am determined to be a better player and a better person.

When I look at the best players in the world, there isn’t much difference in terms of shooting. If so, I think the chances of going up and down to keep the numbers are what the best players do. They get into the groove or on the bed and get up and down nicely.

Also, there is no shortage of putts at crucial moments. This speeds up the process and keeps them moving in the circuit. I knew I needed to improve on some of these features and I knew the things I needed to do. I will do my best to dedicate myself to the best golf courses in the next few years.

Sometimes I’m asked why I don’t work with American football coaches. Rolling golf is a very simple and easy task. Since I’m still learning English, it’s not nice to describe my characteristics, so my swing teacher Hyun Choi is in Korea.

I worked with him until he was 17, so I posted a golf course video, watched it, and then we talked. It worked well for us. My teacher is also my destiny. Every time he saw me compete in a competition, I shot 8 Japanese tourists, and I was 12 under the Korn Ferry Tour Finals while he was there. We are a good team.

One change I made this year was that I started working with a teacher. Every time I go to a game, I watch it every morning and evening for 30 to 40 minutes, if we don’t play, we work hard. As race day approached, we did a lot of stretching and wraps to keep my body fresh so I could sleep more soundly. During the short break, I trained online with my coach for three weeks with the goal of becoming stronger and not injured.

I’m really proud when I hear kids or other golfers claim to be role models. I am proud and I want to stay at DALXALKA when they take part in the PGA Tour with me. I will work hard and responsibly to set a good example. When I played golf at a young age, it wasn’t number 1.

I got a lot of awards but I wasn’t considered a very good player. Soon after I became a professional, my game got better and I am so thankful for that. I would advise anyone who wants to be a golfer to set goals for themselves and put a lot of effort into their game.

In my experience, I have seen that players are good at setting their plans and setting their goals. When they repeat, they do not hit the ball. They set goals and focus on them. For example, when they want to practice on a 100 -yard, they work all day.

They set the reliability of the vaccine so I knew they were in the area when they acted. You don’t have to spend a lot of time training but you do need to have quality time to strengthen yourself. Strong thinking is not required for competition but in practice.
